Australia Day is more than just a public holiday. Whether you’re in the city, on the coast or in a regional area, there are lots of events that celebrate everything that’s great about being Australian.

Brisbane

Melbourne

This Australia Day, head down to Docklands for a family-friendly celebration that includes the Great Australian BBQ Food Truck Festival and program of roaming artists and other entertainment, culminating in the traditional fireworks display in the evening. Make sure you don’t miss the parade – it kicks off at 11am along Swanston Street.

Nowhere does Australia Day quite like Darling Harbour and this year you’re in for an incredible line up of home-grown music, interactive activities and the official Australia Day Spectacular.

In Adelaide, Australia Day in the City is the traditional way for locals to come together and share our national pride with a colourful parade, followed by the Australia Day traditions of a free concert and fireworks in Adelaide's Elder Park.
