Fundraising event hosted at Merritts Place, Melbourne

StreetSLEEP is a fundraising event for young leaders in the property industry that raises awareness of youth homelessness. Proceeds contribute to the PIF House Program, providing a home and mentoring for at-risk and homeless young people.

On any given night in Australia, 1 in 200 people are homeless. 44,000 young adults (aged 12 – 24) are left with nowhere to go each night. PropertyBlitz is one of the Property Industry Foundation's volunteer programs, made up of young, community minded business professionals within the property industry. They volunteer their time and expertise to help deliver fundraising events and special projects for the benefit of homeless kids. The program gives young professionals the chance to be a part of a committee that aims at helping those who are less fortunate but allows them to be exposed to the industry and network with other young professionals.

The purpose of StreetSLEEP is:

  • To provide an opportunity for our industry’s young leaders to understand how it feels to be homeless.
  • To provide a real life experience.
  • To bring young leaders together partaking a charity project.
  • To develop relationships among young community leaders.
  • To raise funds to distribute to charity.

This year, Secure Parking hosted this event at the rooftop of Merritts Place on the 23 to 24 November 2017.
