The Queen’s Baton Relay will pass through Brisbane on 30 March (Good Friday) and 31 March (Easter Saturday) 2018.
The Queen’s Baton Relay is a Commonwealth Games tradition and don’t miss your chance to see the Baton and engage with the baton bearers between 4.00pm and 6.30pm as they move through South Bank.

Brisbane Festival 2018

Festival 2018 is a free state-wide celebration of arts and culture, which will showcase Queensland's creativity to visitors during the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games.
In Brisbane, Festival 2018 offers everyone in the city free world-class entertainment with a program featuring music, exhibitions, theatre, dance, film, comedy, markets and more. Bring your family and friends and take part in the free events on offer.
The Festival will extend from South Bank across the CBD, including King George Square. From the City Botanic Gardens to Roma Street Parklands and laneways in between; as well as Brisbane Powerhouse, Flowstate, Griffith Film School, Museum of Brisbane, Queensland Art Gallery, Reddacliff Place, Tony Gould Gallery and the Sir Thomas Brisbane Planetarium.

World Science Festival Brisbane

Get out and enjoy the evening air with the Medibank Feel Good Program of free fitness classes at South Bank Parklands. All classes run for 45 minutes, are free and bookings are not required – just turn up and join in on the fun! Bring a water bottle and towel, and a yoga mat (where required) if you have one. World Science Festival Brisbane

Brisbane will come alive for five days and four nights with an epic program of science and art when the third annual World Science Festival Brisbane returns on 21- 25 March. Hosted by Queensland Museum, the festival will bring science out of the laboratory and into the streets, parks, museums and performing arts venues of Brisbane. The 2018 festival will focus on ‘humanity’ as scientists from across the globe delve into what makes us human, how humanity has advanced, and how science is working to ensure we live better for longer.
